Yes I get it! I'm becoming lazier and lazier each day!! This was supposed to be up er.......(a month ago) ??? Bahhhhhh...!! better late than never! =P
For the next few paragraphs or so, it will just be WORDS! So, if you do not want to ruined your English(hahahah, just kidding!), you may skip it.... It's broken English anyway... lol

A summary of what happened during Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Orientation Week...

Day 1 in USM : 6 September 2011 (Tuesday)

- Arrived safely in USM(thank God!) at 8.30a.m.
- Registration at respective hostels.... Mine's Cahaya Gemilang (in short, CG)
- Cleaned (sweep, wipe,etc...) my room for nearly two hours (EX-tremely DUSTY...zzzzzz!)
- Went to Tesco Extra to buy some stuffs (pail, detergent, food, bla bla bla)
- 4.30p.m. Gathered in Lobi Bestari on top of CG Cafe.......
> Welcoming the new students (Ice breaker, getting to know people, the PIC for orientation, known as Pembimbing Program Siswa Lestari (PPSL) , some short games, etc...)
- Night time

/* They mentioned that we were the FIRST batch of students to use the new Main Hall (known as Dewan Tuanku Syed Putra, DTSP) after about 30 years!!! Wooo-hooooo!!! A cinematic-view like hall which was much much MUCH bigger than the size of Cineplex 1 in GSC DP!! Their chairs were also like the ones in the cinemas!! Awesome and comfortable!!! So you can roughly guess what we did during the speeches....... hahahahaha!! */

and that..... was just day 1!

Day 2 in USM : 7 September 2011 (Wednesday)

Morning : Went to Dewan Utama Pelajar (DUP) for :

1. Matric Card photography session
2. Health check appointment
3. Get free USM Body Glove laptop bag
4. Pay study fees

Afternoon : Went for the "New Students Welcoming Ceremony and Pledge Rehearsal" for the grand event the next day.... whereby some VIP were to come...
- Learnt USM official song (Menara Ilmu)
- Learnt USM cheering spirit booster
> USM??? GO, GO, GO!
USM???? FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!!
USM!???? WIN, WIN, WIN!!!
USM!?!?!?!? BOLEH!
MALAYSIA BOLEH! (seldom use that nowadays though... lolx)

After that, more speechessss.... zzzzzzZZZZZzzzzz until night time........
After dinner, another rehearsal before we were allowed to dismiss....
Both nights (Day 1 and Day 2) slept around 1.30a.m... @.@

and that was...... day 2...


Day 3 in USM : 8 September 2011 (Thursday)

Forced to wake up at 6.30a.m. ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz!!
7.15am - Gathered at the road side just below our hostels
9.00am - The "New Students Welcoming and Pledge" ceremony in front of the VIP mentioned above... He was the Chief Secretary of the Government of Malaysia (in short, KSN) and the ceremony was conducted LIVE with the other 2 USM campuses, Engineering Campus in Nibong Tebal, Seberang Perai and the Health Campus in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.
It was nothing much la... just that the admins wanna make it a big "HU-HA" because of the KSN... basically, it was just oath taking and signing a piece of paper! LOL~~! XD

KSN gave his speech followed by the Vice Chancellor of USM, both concentrating on the same thing, which was : Challenging the status quo!

In the afternoon, we took a stroll around DTSP foyer to see the various kinds of Uniform Units that they have in USM.

3.45pm - Gathered at the Convocation Spot for "Merdeka Walk and Campus Walkrobic"

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Hate this kinda attitude!!!! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!
We only started moving at 5pm something!!!! wasting timeeeeeeeeee!!!!

9.00pm - Dinner time, dinner with all the first years from the same hostel...
Malay food..... contents??????? Oh course la, curry, CURRY, chilli, and more chillies!! Plus other kinda of spicy stuffs...............but it was kinda good too... =)
After makan, speeches by Male and Female Hostel Representatives + Giving out of presents to the PPSL(s) in charge of CG + more speechesssssss............. and everything ended around 11pm.... ahhhhhhhh... at least today we can sleep well! =D

Day 4 in USM : 9 September 2011 (Friday)

7.45am - Gathered and moved to DTSP for the School of Language, Literacy and Translation (SoLLaT) talk..... Introduced to Foreign Language packages, Third language packages and Minor packages... plus plus some other speeches......(speeches lagi... haizzz)

About 11am - Went to Dewan Kuliah (DK) foyer to register for Malay Language and English Language courses... basically it just took about 10mins and we had a longggggggggggg break until 2pm! Yeah! =)

3.00pm - Walked to the School of Computer Sciences
> Brief introductions on what Computer Science is + some pictures of competitions earlier...
> Briefed about how many units do we need to graduate, meeting with our Academic Advisors and filling in forms to register for subjects
> Rules and ethics talk by one of the Prof. in charge....

5.00pm - Jamuan Makan!!! XD

Night time around 8.30pm, went to DTSP for some Integrity Forum with another VIP (a high-ranked police officer I guess)...
The speech/forum conducted was rather dull.... but the interesting part started during the Q & A session!
A HOT debate between the students and the forum panels !! Debated until 11pm! @.@

After the Integrity Forum, went back to CG lobby (Lobi Bestari) for some fun and entertainment! Splitted into 8 groups..... Each group had to perform based on the theme "Japanese Slippers" in various moods....... basically the various usage of the slippers...... Had lots of fun during the night.... Moods included dangdut, rock, syair, sajak, hip hop, bla bla bla...

Dozed off about 1.30am!
and that was the fourth day............

Day 5 in USM : 10 September 2011 (Saturday)

Woke up about 7.30am. It rained.....
8.30am - Went to School of Computer Sciences to register for courses, finished about 10 something..
Had a long rest until 1.40pm.....

1.40pm - Gathered to walk to DTSP for University Library Briefings...
> Usage of Matric card to send printing
> Books available
> E-books
> Reservations (online)

4.30pm - 7.45pm - Rest time

After dinner, we had taklimat Pimpin Siswa + Kem Pimpin Siswa
After that, had free supper (Rice + XL-sized piece of chicken)
Went to CG lobby about 11.30pm...
> Learnt CG song
> Introduced PPSL again
> Birthday surprises for the September babies
> Briefings of the programmes for the next day

and that ended day 5.......

Day 6 in USM : 11 September 2011 (Sunday)

Today's................... the LAST day of Orientation!!! Yahoooooooooo!!! =)

Events of the day :
Morning rain + morning cold water bath = Freezingggggggg Dayyyyyyy!!!
From about 9.00am till 1.30pm - talks...................
> Kesejahteraan dan Keamanan Negara
> Taklimat PTPTN
> Promote Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar (MPP)
> Promote Hockey Competition Organisers
> Promote Convocation Event Organisers

1.30pm - dinner time : Rest time

8.30pm - Sesi Khas bersama Pemimpin Negara : Setiausaha Politik (PM's advisor)
more speeches and talks and forums.... ~.=!!!

After those things, gathered at Lobi Bestari for one last time for the Orientation Closing Ceremony + Slideshow presentation of pictures from Day 1 to Day 6......... (time to reminiscence the past 6 days)
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...... at last!!!! Orientation ended!!!! =)))

and so, orientation ended on Day 6!



I think that's much about all I have to say about my orientation week....
I don't think I want to go until so detailed or I myself will fall asleep typing all these! HAHA! =D

Yeah yeah! I got my admission into USM!!
It's gonna be one superb experience for me experiencing uni life soon!
I guess I just need more courage to face the outside world!
Time to get out of my comfort zone, like most people would say...
Leaving on the 5th of September 2011 to Penang Island!
Great adventure awaits!!
So, pray for me to have a safe journey there and pray for me too
that I can cope well with my studies! Gracias! =D

>Derrick calling me, "Maui" and I returned "Chicky" and we looked like retards when this goes on for long....

>Johnathan, Kye Wei and Winford rotating to buy packed food for most of us, due to the expensive and not-so-delicious canteen food!

>The whole class adressing Peii Hwei as "kina or gina" dunno which 1 lah.

>How we always asked Pn Chong to prolong the date for submission of homeworks, esp essays!

>How Pn Chong always reminded and warned us our careless mistakes on graphs, which will cause us to get 06/15 (kosong enam per lima belas!)

>The McD meals that we had, nearly every Wednesday before the co-curricular activities.

>Getting chased out of the class by prefects because we LOVED eating in class during recess!

>The so called "Khidmat Masyarakat" that we had in our Lower 6, the painting of the guys toilet in the Form 6 block!

>That particular Saturday when eleven(11) of us climbed up through the windows by using one of the laboratory tables as 'ladder' to re-paint our class! It was really crazy, but we did it! HAHA! and after that, our Form teacher, Mr Shu treated us with a KFC meal! =D

>The time spent in the state library/SKE library where we talked craps more than we study!

>Derrick glued Kit Fai's rulers(about 10 of them) together! haha

>How Derrick always use various ways to escape from being caught for coming late to school.

>The times we had barbeque in Mr Shu's house during CNY!

>Mr Wee's words of "Attention!" and then he went "an object of mass m, collides with.............."

>Mr Wee's super cool and super calm mood when teaching in class, even though the class seemed to be very noisy!

>How Mr Khoo 'channeled' by rubbing his hands before he started 'waaaaah-cha!' his students!

we can depart back to Melaka!!!
But sadly to say, Kuala Terengganu is not a nice place to lepak...
cos there's nearly no entertainment places! Lol~~
