The Godly Woman

Just wanted to blog for fun to add another extra post!!
HAHAHAHA!!

Anyway, I found something really interesting to read!!
Read about this incredible woman of faith!
=)

Recently, some of my friends asked me,
"What qualities do you look for in your future wife??"
Well, I guess this article serves as a good guideline for anyone. =P

A woman of faith.
A woman of righteousness.
A woman of love and compassion.
A woman of well-ordered priorities.

Man! She's one woman I would marry!!!
The woman in the article of course, not the author!! =P
Bahahahahahaaaaaa!! XD

An Amazing Journey

Song listening to : Twila Paris - Days Of Elijah

I pretty much like this song nowadays because of the meaningful lyrics... and to top the excitement, I found a website where the writer explained the meaning of the song, verse by verse, line by line!
I began to grasp the essence of the song and appreciate the song even more than before when I found out the history behind it was written... Such reassuring message, such great reminder and such wonderful lyrics.. Read here to read the explanation by the composer, Robin Mark.

"Behold He comes riding on the clouds,
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call;
Lift your voice, it's the year of jubilee,
And out of Zion's hill salvation comes."

Ok, that was to kick start the post. Hahaha!
Rights, Year Two Sem One.
Once again, it was a sem filled with plenty of ups and downs....
Like any other sems, I shall start with the course descriptions and comments... Please bear with the rantings and the longgggggggggg sentences... =P

1) Integrated Software Development Workshop
We were introduced to the Java programming language in this course. An advanced version of C++ I would say. The syntax and structures are quite similar to C++, but more complex. Honestly, I struggled alot(super alot) in this course trying to cope with the syntax and coding. Definitely a tough one for me. I wonder how I'm gonna survive for the next couple of sems....

2) Database Organization and Design
One of the lecturers was super helpful, guiding us step by step, inch by inch as to how to create a good and proper database. Learnt the SQL(Structured Query Language) commands + a little of Java incorporated programming for the database. Easy at first, difficulty increases exponentially as the sem progressed...

3) Data Communication and Networks
Had a very nice lecturer throughout the sem. Able to relate to a lot of real life examples. Saved the trouble of googling some terms which I always wanted to but never did about networking and stuffs. Not entirely, but just sufficient for understanding the principles behind how communication works. Same like course number (2) above, it gets more and more complex towards the end.

4) Operating Systems
The course every other student labelled as "the killer subject". And indeed, it was! Theories were so abstract and explained in long winded sentences. Can literally sleep on the book while(not after) reading only ONE(1) miserable page! This course looked interesting to me at first, but some lecturers just killed the excitement along the way...

5) An Introduction to Linguistics
Quite similar to the course I took in the previous sem, slightly deeper in syllabus.
Before this, Listening + Speaking, Reading + Writing.
Now, Phonetics(a little in depth, touching on the usage of phonetics in other languages as well), Syntax, Morphology, Semantics, Pragmatics, Sociolinguistics and Psycholinguistics. Discovered many things which I could never thought they existed before!
Lecturer was the same, so the excitement continued! Hehe... =D

Alright!!!
*Breathes a sigh of relief!*
That's about all for this post.
I was really reminded of the marvellous times that I underwent as I typed this post!
Superbly splendid I would say!
God has been really good and awesome to me, over and over and over again!!! =D
And once again, more pictures and stories can be found on my Facebook page, this is just a side page to summarise things up! =P
Also, often times, I was reminded again and again of these few verses :
" 1 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. "
(Galatians 6 : 1 - 2)

" 19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. 21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. "
(James 1 : 19 - 21)

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. "
(1 Corinthians 13 : 4 - 8)

and it struck me again and again...
that LOVE is patient....

Okay, I must learn to be more patient...
and with God's help, all things are possible!!
WhEEeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
=)
